Monthly Activities

Dear All, Sairam.
Greetings to all from SAI ANUGRAHA. Please go through the monthly activities from Sai Anugraha for the month of August-2010 and fund status as of 31st Aug 2010.

Spiritual Activities

1. Sai Bhajan at Narbhavi old age home, Shollingnallur, Chennai, Sai baba temple, Shollingnallur, Chennai and devotees houses in Hyderabad on weekends.
2. Shri Sai Leelamrutam, Shri Sai Satcharitra & Shri Guru Charitra daily parayan.

Social Service Activities

1. BABA Prasadalay initiative at MEANS, Hyderabad and spent 2 hours with grannys and served the food.
2. Sponsored 25kgs of rice to kids at sai orphanage under BABA Prasadalay initiative, Om Mandir, vizianagaram.
3. Blood donation for the needy.
4. Medical Help of Rs. 5,000/- for 1.5 year old baby referred by Krishna Mohan
5. Raja Sukumar's medical help of Rs. 2,000/- referred by NJ Karthik & Madhuri
6. Provided School bags to 200 students worth Rs. 27,000/- @ Jawathu tribal higher secondary school, Gunikanthur, Jamunamarathur tk, Jawathu Hills, thiruvannamali district on 15th August 2010.
7. Provided uniforms to 14 kids @ MPP Primary School, Cheepurupalli referred by MVLN Murthy on 15th August 2010.
8. Provided 125 note books to students at Pallavaram study center, Pallavaram, Chennai.
9. Paid 3000/- t0 Kavita for her 1st Year Engineering books, Chennai referred by Sampath.
10. Paid 1st installment amount of Rs.20,000/- for Niranjan towards International Youth Yoga championships.
11. Paid Poly technique fee of Rs.5000/- paid to Srinivas referred by Murali Krishna

Upcoming Activities

Social Service Activities

1. Going to help Rs. 25,000/- for Shiv Sai's medicines for post operation expenses. Please go through the website http://www.shivasai.org/ for more details about the child.
2. Going to sponsor Hema Priya for her M. Pharmacy. Please check this link for more details http://acoindia.org/sponsorship.aspx
3. Need to pay balance amount of Rs. 10,000 to Niranjan’s International Youth Yoga Competition.

There are few more requests for medical and education help. We are awaiting full details. Once we receive the details, we will be helping them from SAI ANUGRAHA.

Independence Day celebrations - SFRD

Dear All,

Greetings from SAI ANUGRAHA. 15th Aug is very important for all Indians and this year's 15th Aug was most memorable day for 6 SAI ANUGRAHA family members-Atchayan, Yoganand, Deva, Sudarshan, Padmaraj & myself.

As you all know we planned to distribute 200 school bags to students at SFRD(Society For Rural Development) School at Jawathu hills on Independence day along with visit to yelagiri hills, bhiman falls, Vainu Bappu observatory, Kavalur.

14th August 2010 :

Our program started on 14th Aug. We hired a cab for the entire trip and started to tirupattur at 4.30 AM from saidapet and we reached atchayan's house at tirupattur at 8.45 AM and had breakfast and took rest for a while. We started to Yelagiri hills at 11.10 AM and reached the place at 11.55 AM.

The climate is little different from our Chennai climate. We all went for boating and enjoyed peddling the boats for 30mins. It was a real test to our fitness. We all enjoyed it and started coming down at 1 PM and reached atchayan's house at 1.45 PM.

We Had lunch and took some rest and started to observatory at Kavalur by 4.20 PM. Reached the place and were waiting to go inside. As it was raining that day and sky was cloudy they did not allow anyone to observatory. We returned back and had dinner at atchayan's house and slept.

15th August 2010

Long awaited day has come. We woke up early in the morning and started to school at 6 AM and reached by 8AM. We were welcomed by school staff. We had our breakfast at the school and met main pillars of SFRD Arjunan sir & Silambi ma'am.

Arjunan sir was briefing us about the history of SFRD and how his mission is instrumental in uplifting the lives of tribal community in jamathu hills, fund raising for the entire program etc. Suddenly he said, Mr. Kishore you are the chief guest for today's program and you have to start today's proceedings by lighting the lamp and offering garland to Mahatma Gandhiji's photo. He also asked me to do the flag hoisting and to take the guard of honor from NSS Brigade, GREEN Brigade, Scouts & Guides Brigade of the school in march past.

I was reluctant in the beginning, but I thought this is honor given to our SAI ANUGRAHA family from SFRD and accepted the same. After march past, students exhibited their talents in cultural programs. Arjunan sir with his devoted staff, not only imparting education but also training them in different extracurricular activities and encouraging them in doing social service and making them perfect in all fields.

In between the cultural programs we requested Arjunan sir, Silambi ma'am and Amar sir to distribute the school bags and ETSC certificates to students. After the distribution again cultural programs continued and all were excellent. Over all it was a great day for all of us and we all enjoyed a lot. In the end, we had our lunch at school and started to Tirupattur.



















On the way to tirupattur, we went to Bhiman falls. The falls are in dense forest and we all enjoyed the beauty of falls and the place. We started back to tirupattur after spending more than an hour at the falls. We reached atchayan's house at 5.45 and started to Chennai at 6 PM and reached Chennai at 10.30 PM.

Special thanks to Atchayan parents for providing us accommodation and food for 2 days. Special thanks to Atchayan, Yoganand, Sudarshan, Padmaraj for volunteering the visit. Sponsoring NIRANJAN

Dear All,
Greetings from SAI ANUGRAHA.

On 8th August, SAI ANUGRAHA got a request regarding Sponsorship for Master Niranjan (7th std) who got selected for International Youth Yoga championship to be held at SRI LANKA on 25th September 2010. We were told that last day for paying the fees is August 10th and the overall amount was Rs.40000/-.

Last year also this kid was selected to participate in the international youth yoga competition but unfortunately due to financial problems he was not able to participate. This year till 8th of august they were able to collect only Rs.8000/- from his friends & relatives. Before reaching us they have asked sponsorship from his school (Kendra Vidyalaya, Coimbatore), Parent Teacher Association(PTA) of that school and SBI and did not get sponsorship and at last they have placed an advertisement for sponsorship in the Malaimurasu (Tamil Evening Newspaper).

Finally it came to Sai Anugraha through Niranjan’s family friend Jamuna. As this kid is going to represent India at the International Youth Yoga championships, we planned to sponsor the kid. It is the happiest moment for every INDIAN and a moment to feel proud about NIRANJAN.

Nirajan’s achievements

• He has been honored with the title " YOGA NAKSHATRA " during 7th Tamil Nadu Yogasana Championship -2009.
• He won the title of "CHAMPION of CHAMPIONSHIP' -age group 11 to 14 years -Tamil Nadu State level Yoga Championship -2010-2011-Chennai.
• Second Prize - age group-7-8 years- All India Yoga Festival and Competition held at Kancheepuram -August 2006.
• First Prize- Age group -6-8 - XVIII TamilNadu State Yoga Sports Championship -2006.
• 1st Prize -age group -9 yrs - All India Yoga competition 2007 -held at Kancheepuram.
• 3rd Prize -age group -9 yrs - 5th Tamil Nadu State Yogasana Championship 2007-held at Gummidipoondi.
• 1st Prize -age group -9 yrs - Tamil Nadu Yoga and Nature Cure Yoga competition 2007 -held at Aruppukottai.
• Special 1st Prize -age group -9 yrs - 3rd Interstate Yoga competition 2009 -held at Coimbatore.
• 2nd Prize- -9 yrs - 7th TamilNadu Yogasana Championship 2009 -held at Coimbatore.
• 1st Prize -age group -10-11 yrs - XXV Tamil Nadu State Yoga Sports Championship -2010 held at Coimbatore.

Let’s keep Niranjan in our prayers and pray GOD for his success in the competition & wish him good luck by leaving your comment in the blog. As he is going to board the plane here in Chennai, we will hand over the GOOD LUCK & blessings print out to him.
